Nathania is skilled in building community and connection with each of her students. She teaches with compassion, humour and is a gifted encourager. Her students are well prepared as they work through a variety of lesson books to create a well balanced curriculum and set for success with careful attention to counting and musical themes and gain confidence as they are equipped to share their music in a variety of ways.
Students will enjoy Nathania’s sense of fun and she sets the stage for students who will continue making music for many years.
We have been with Motif since the beginning and couldn't be happier. From the wonderful owners and the lovely studio to our beloved teacher Nathania, Motif is the perfect place to fall in love with the art of making music.

Amie is honoured to return to a teaching role at Motif Music Studios, after years of focusing on a communications role at Motif and nurturing a young family.
Amie excels in creatively presenting lessons with enthusiasm and focuses carefully on each student’s individual learning style to bring out the best in their growth as individuals and musicians.
Amie enjoys seeing students take on new challenges with confidence as they learn music that inspires them.
Amie is the most motivating, inspiring, and gifted music teacher we have ever met. Her love and passion for music has been manifested in our children. Our daughter loves to play the piano and is excelling. Our son was very reluctant to take piano but even after his very first lesson, he couldn't wait to get home to show us what he learned to play. Amie is truly an inspiration.

Jordie is a skilled cellist, patient instructor and a certified piano tuner. Music builds community and connection and it is evident in Jordie’s thoughtful contact with students and colleagues that this is central to his philosophy.
Jordie is insightful and detailed in his approach to teaching. He takes time to listen well and choses music that suits his student’s personal goals. In recent years he has also been coaching theory students and seeing them achieve their music theory goals with increased understanding and confidence.
Thank you Motif and Jordie for the outstanding work with my teen girl! She loves going to class and any anxiety she brings home from high school she lets go of completely at cello and brings only joy back home.

Ashley is a well-loved instructor for our Motif Kindermusik & Ukulele programs. Her lyrical voice, background of dance and love of connecting with families is evident in each of her classes as she nurtures connection and celebrates students as they embark on a lifelong love of music.
Ashley has a gift for drawing musicians together and has been the initiator of many wonderful collaborative projects including coffee shop performances, house concerts, special event music and most recently, the recording of her own CD.
It has been a joy to see Ashley encouraging students as they pursue learning the ukulele, exploring songwriting and taking the first steps in a lifetime of music learning.
I can see the development in my now 9 month old from this amazing class. The best is when I sing her the same songs as in class I can see that she remembers. I strongly recommend Kindermusik & looking forward to our next spring session. Big thanks to Ashley for being such a wonderful teacher.
